The types are a mix of sensationals- S or intuitives- N,  feelers- F and thinkers- T,  introverts- I and extroverts-E, and judging- J and perceiving-P.

This is the Keirsey type models.

Sensationals are down- to- earth, realistic, no- nonsense, and factual.  Sensation people can seem to get “stuck in a rut” and look for how others can be useful.  Intuitives are the imaginative, innovative, creative kind of people, however they can be seen to have their “head in the clouds” or fall into “trances” in their own thoughts. They are focused on the possible, whereas the sensationals are focused on the actual.

Thinkers and feelers differ in how they think about relationships, laws, rules, and how to deal with people.  The thought oriented type of person is subject to be objective, impersonal, logical, and cool-headed.  They are likely to be embarrassed by emotions and tend not to show their feelings and even less likely talk about them.  The thinking type of person loves the words standards, justice, firmness, laws, categories, analysis, and policy.  Feelers, however, are personal, easily show emotion, and are more comfortable with value judgments.  The feeling type of person loves the words subjective, values, intimacy, humane, harmony, persuasion, and appreciate.

Introverts, which are recognized by I and extroverts, which are recognized by E, differ in how they prefer to interact with people.  Introverts are drained of energy by being around people, although it doesn’t meant that they don’t enjoy company.  Extroverts are usually the life of the party, and get energy from interacting with people.  Introverted people are territorial, rather than sociable, meaning they like quiet places, and dislike being interrupted by people when they are thinking.  Extroverts, on the other hand, typically dislike being alone and tend to yearn for socialization.

Judging and perceiving types are characterized by whether they like to bring things to a close, or leave options open and whether they view work as the most important thing in life, or if they think that play is what should come first.  perceiving people are playful, process oriented, and flexible.  They tend to overlook deadlines and see them as a “guideline”, rather than a requirement. However, the judging type of person would never overlook a guideline and their work is the most important thing to them in many cases.  They like to make decisions and feel accomplished when a job is completed.  Both of these types bring their own value into the workplace, social, and home environments.

If you have ever heard of Parelli Natural Horsemanship or study it, I’ll soon be working on translating personality types into their Horsenality types; divided into extroverts and introverts and left-brain/ right-brain thinkers.  I’m interested to see if there is a direct connection to personality types and temperament, fear or confidence thinking, and the amount of motivation for an individual to move or think.  If there is a connection, horse enthusiasts and Parelli students will be helped greatly in handling their horses and especially when looking for a new horse.  This information could also help if you are dealing with business and sales to determine how to get someone to be interested in your product or service, how to make them confident in you, and how to motivate them into buying what you have to offer.
